Wiper wheel

A major drug company contacted us for assistance with a requirement for a rubber moulded cleaning wheel to be used during their automated drug dispensing production line.

The moulding was used to clean specific areas on a plastic carrier tape prior to the drug being loaded into pockets on the tape by way of specifically designed moulded teeth.

This is an essential component in the production line and different sized wheels are used for different dosages of drug. After a long development cycle, the design of the teeth was finalised to offer the correct physical properties, and the correct geometry that offered the level of performance required for such a precise operation.

Each moulding is meticulously cleaned, individually packed, and 100% inspected due to the environment in which it is used.
