Colouring rubber mouldings
Silicone rubber is fully colourable, other rubbers offer a more limited range of pigments. When defining the required colour of a silicone moulding or of an ink, it is common to use Pantone or RAL specifications, and we can work with them.
- Silicone: Easily colour matched, full range of pigments
- EPDM: Limited colour range inc Black
- Neoprene: Limited colour range inc Black
- Nitrile (NBR): A range inc white, Black, Green
- Natural Rubber: Black
- Viton (FKM): Green, Brown, Red, Black, White
- Butyl: Black
- Fluorosilicone: Blue, Beige
Pantone and RAL are industry standard colour specification providers, they permit people working remotely to produce items in the same colour. Pantone is an American system while RAL hails from Germany, while there are other colour systems, Pantone and RAL are the most popular.
If you send us your Pantone or RAL colour specification, we can buy silicone rubber premixed to that colour reference. We can also mix inks used for spraying to Pantone or RAL colour references.
Your colour choices, for your brand’s colour, will usually be custom and won’t be used by another of our customers, it is possible there may be minimum order requirements for your specific colour of silicone rubber.
Material suppliers claim colour matching is their speciality, one states the colour of every batch is verified by a spectrometer before dispatch.
